Low calorie ways to celebrate bonfire night

Bonfire night can be a bit of fun but with the social gatherings and celebrations it can leave you feeling like you’re going to end up off track with your nutrition goals.

It doesn’t have to be that way…

If you’re going to or hosting a celebration this year then listen up these great ideas (even if I do say so myself):

Buy smaller sized marshmallows - you’re probably going to eat the same number because there not to fill you up for dinner so getting the smaller sizes means less time over the fire more time in your belly and less calories in each.

Drink spirits - if you’re going to be drinking, rather than warming up with the wine stick closer to spirits and diet mixers to keep the calories down.

Get active - It’s going to be cold standing out there watching them so whilst you will be wrapping up warm you can also get moving… When travelling don’t park at the very closest spot you can find or stay on the bus until you’re practically outside the door. Give yourself a little bit of a walk to get those legs moving, warm you up, and increase your daily activity

Whilst bonfire night isn’t one of the most indulgent celebrations if you’re worrying about going overboard chances are you won’t anyway…

Relax into the evening, enjoy yourself and make easy low resistance choices to make a regular choice lower in calories for your weight loss goals.
